PILLOW COMBINATIONS FOR ANY SEASON – THE MARCH 2022 EDITION

So if you asked me what my home decor weakness was, the answer would 100% be pillows. I don’t know what it is, but there is just something about a good pillow cover that sparks joy for me! So naturally, one of my inevitable hobbies is browsing the world wide web for pillows, and putting together digital pillow combinations (since I sadly cannot buy them all).

As someone who likes to have the same pillows out all year round (with the occasional switch here and there), I personally try to shop for pillows and pillow covers that will work for any season, rather than buying lots of pillow covers to switch out every few months. Don’t get me wrong, switching up pillows with the seasons is an easy and affordable way to make a space to feel fresh and new with minimal effort, but I personally love the idea of curating a collection of quality, timeless, and unique pillow covers that will carry me through any season.

Whether you enjoy changing up your pillows with the seasons, or you’re looking for a solid set you can stick with all year long, this post is here to provide you with inspiration and ideas that can work no matter what time of year it is 🙂

THE WHY BEHIND THE TITLE

Okay so a little background on why I’m calling this “The March 2022 Edition”…

Exactly one year ago from the time I’m writing this post, I wrote another blog post on all things pillows called Pillow Talk: Everything You Need to Know about Styling and Shopping for Pillows.

This post has been one of my most popular posts from the last year, and with many of the pillow combinations I shared in it no longer being available, I thought it was time for a follow up post with some new pillow combinations. Pillows are something I’m regularly asked about, and are one my absolute favorite things to shop for and put together, so I thought I might try to make this a regular thing!

Many of the pillow combinations in this post actually came to be as I was shopping for pillows for our primary bedroom refresh and new living room sofas. You may notice that there is a lot of repeat uses of certain pillows across multiple pillow combinations, and that’s partially due to me trying to figure out which pillows to order, and partially due to those pillows being so versatile! Investing in a few quality pillow covers that are timeless and versatile is key to curating a collection of pillow combinations that will carry you through the seasons though, and I’m a big fan of choosing pillows that can work in different spaces, so I decided to share all of these with you here anyways – repeats and all!

So without further ado, let’s get to those pillow combinations!

I just ordered this pillow combination for our bedroom, and I’m so excited to see it in person!

A note on the next three images:

The brownish-green Chinese wedding quilt lumbar pillow shown is one that I personally own from Xasmin Interiors, and it is one of my absolute favorites! This particular pillow is not available in her etsy shop, so I was not able to link it on like to know it, but I did link a similar pillow from another seller on etsy.

That said, Xasmin Interiors does have this one on her website, and it is one of my favorites, so I am linking it here for you!

This is one of my all time favorite pillow combinations. I found the olive green velvet pillow at homegoods a couple of years ago, and the McGee and Co vintage turkish kilm lumbar on eBay last year, so unfortunately I can’t link the exact ones I have. That said, I did find some similar styles, which I linked on like to know it for you 🙂

That’s all for now! I hope that this short little post gave you some ideas and inspiration for putting together pillow combinations for your home that will work for any season. I do intend to make this a regular thing, and although I’m not sure what “regular” means yet (monthly, quarterly, biannually, etc.), if you subscribe to my email list, you’ll be the first to know when that next edition gets posted!

Thanks for reading! 🙂
